The ancient town of Chichester offers much for visitors with hundreds of years of history and a wide range of activities to satisfy the most discerning visitor. Take a walk around the original city walls to get a good feel of the area, and then visit local landmarks such as the Cathedral, Medieval Bell Tower, and Market Cross.
Top attractions for visitors are the Cathedral, Pallant House Art Gallery, Novium Museum, and Fishbourne Roman Palace, offering plenty of things to do no matter what the weather is.
The charming town centre is only 10 minutes walk away and offers an array of independent shops, boutiques and galleries, and a range of high street names. There are restaurants catering for a wide range of palettes, including The Ivy and The Giggling Squid.
All this and only a 15 minute drive to the stunning sandy beaches at the Witterings!
West Wittering beach is one of the premier Blue Flag beaches in the country.
The Chichester Festival Theatre is renowned in the South East and offers a wide range of events.
We are ideally located if you are for visiting one of the exciting events at Goodwood House such as the Festival of Speed or Revival car events or the numerous horse racing meetings.
Chichester Harbour is an area of natural outstanding beauty and can be explored by foot, bicycle or via boat on one of the tours. The harbour also offers a wide range of water sports including sailing, paddleboarding and kayaking
If you prefer inland water, a stroll or cycle along the Chichester canal is well worth it, and only a few mins walk from the front door of The Cube.
If you’re willing to venture a little further, there are picturesque towns nearby. Arundel is a charming town well worth a visit together with its splendid castle and surrounded by undulating countryside. It has a rich heritage spanning hundreds of years, but don’t forget Emsworth and Bosham both of which look glorious in all weathers.
How about heading for the chalk hills of the South Downs National Park for a more substantial walk.
The nearby train station gives access to the trainline running along the south coast with direct access to the centre of Brighton (50 minutes) to the East or Southampton (55 minutes) to the West. A spot of retail therapy at Gunwharf Quays outlet centre in Portsmouth is only 20 minutes away followed by a short walk past the cars queuing for the car park!
Why not visit West Dean Gardens, or the Weald & Downland Open Air Museum where the Repair Shop is filmed. Petworth House and Park are only a short drive away and well worth a visit. There are also several golf courses and other sports actvities nearby
